Avalon's nitrile film includes an organic additive that lets naturally occurring microbes colonise and digest the material in biologically active environments such as anaerobic digesters and landfill. Breakdown has been verified using the ASTM D5526 and ASTM D5511 test methods. On the hand, the glove performs exactly like standard nitrile — biodegradation only begins in those disposal conditions.
Is this glove latex free?
Yes. This is a 100% nitrile glove — it is not made with natural rubber latex, so it is suitable for clinics managing latex allergy among staff or patients.
