Privacy policy

JV Medical (ABN 14 764 467 952) (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

  • Identity and contact details — name, email address, phone number, business name and ABN when you create an account, place an order or contact us.
  • Delivery and billing details — addresses and delivery instructions needed to fulfil your order.
  • Order and account history — products purchased, wishlist items and enquiries, so we can provide service and support.
  • Technical data — limited log and cookie data needed to run the site securely (see our cookie policy).

Payment card details are never stored by us. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, eWAY; we receive only a payment reference and the card type/last four digits for reconciliation.

How we use your information

  • Processing and delivering orders, and issuing tax invoices.
  • Managing your account, wishlist and enquiries.
  • Sending our newsletter and offers only if you opt in — every email includes an unsubscribe option, or email us to be removed at any time.
  • Meeting legal obligations (for example, taxation and record-keeping).
  • Improving our website, product range and customer service.

Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:

  • Delivery carriers, to get your order to you;
  • eWAY, to process your payment;
  • IT service providers who host and support our systems; and
  • Government agencies or regulators where required by law.

Storage and security

Personal information is stored on secured systems with access limited to staff who need it. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and administrative access controls. While no online system is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, and we destroy or de-identify information we no longer need.

Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@jvmedical.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. Account holders can also update most details directly in their account.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at info@jvmedical.com.au or (08) 6199 7931 and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
