Overview
Chlorhexidine 2% in Ethanol 70% Tinted Pink is a skin antiseptic solution for skin antisepsis before invasive procedures — injections, cannulation, minor procedures and skin excisions. It combines chlorhexidine gluconate 2% w/v with ethanol 70% v/v, is tinted pink so the prepared area is easy to see, and is made in Australia.
Same strength as Surgi-Prep C+ Pink (chlorhexidine 2% & ethanol 70%) — an Australian-made alternative.
How to use
Apply to the site with gauze or a sponge using back-and-forth motions for 30 seconds on dry sites or 2 minutes on moist sites. 10.5 mL covers about 100 cm² of dry skin or 64.5 cm² of moist skin. Allow it to dry naturally until it has completely evaporated.
Storage and safety
For external use only — avoid contact with eyes (if contact occurs, rinse well with water). Mild irritation may occur; stop use if it becomes severe. Contains 70% v/v alcohol: flammable, keep away from heat and flames. Protect from light and store below 25°C. Flammable liquid (UN1170, Class 3): dispatched by road freight only.
