Overview
The BD SmartSite™ needle-free valve (2000E) provides safe, needle-free access to IV lines for infusion, injection and aspiration — removing needlestick risk at the IV port. Its normally-closed, swabbable septum disinfects with standard technique, and the straight-through fluid path (equivalent to an 18-gauge cannula) keeps flow rates high with a low 0.11 mL priming volume.
Metal-free and MRI-compatible, DEHP-free and lipid-resistant. SmartSite is the needle-free connector made for BD Alaris™ infusion systems and is equally suited to procedure trolleys in general practice, urgent care and day clinics.
